About ‘Look Good... Feel Better’ - celebrating its 15th Anniversary

Look Good...Feel Better (LGFB), a national charity supported by the cosmetic industry, offers free confidence-boosting skincare and make-up workshops for women undergoing cancer treatment. LGFB was set up by the Cosmetic Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) and gained charitable status in 1993. Today the Programme has the support of over 40 leading companies and brands in the Beauty Industry.

What Look Good...Feel Better Does
The Look Good... Feel Better workshops help combat the visible side effects of cancer treatment and, in turn, improves confidence and wellbeing. Hosted by trained beauty consultants from all the major cosmetic companies, the sessions are held at 56 hospitals/cancer care centres across the UK. Patients are given a gift bag filled with donated cosmetic products and taken through a specially designed 12-step skincare and make-up regime. After two hours of learning, fun and laughter, ladies leave feeling relaxed and full of renewed confidence in their appearance.

Reaching out to every woman diagnosed with cancer...
2009 marks the 15th Anniversary of Look Good...Feel Better in the UK and a major new initiative has been created to help LGFB achieve its ultimate aim of 'reaching out to every woman diagnosed with cancer in the UK'. The LGFB Confidence Kit is an extensive DVD and booklet presented by experts in skincare, make-up, wigs, scarves and nail care. All the information included has been built up through 15 years of supporting cancer patients all over the world.
